El Araby El Sawy Investments Group has signed a long-term strategic partnership agreement with Chery's global brands Omoda and Jaecoo. The new deal moves the relationship beyond mere commercial distribution into a deeper phase of joint investment. The move reflects growing confidence in the Egyptian market as a regional hub for automotive manufacturing.

Massive Investments Boost Local Industry

The group is injecting investments worth EGP 5 billion, equivalent to approximately USD 100 million. That figure positions this partnership among the largest strategic investments in Egypt's automotive sector in recent years. The funds will be directed toward developing infrastructure and upgrading operational capabilities to the latest international standards.

The new investments represent a pivotal step supporting industrial development and technology transfer into the local market. The agreement further strengthens Egypt's position as an attractive regional hub for automotive investments. Global Chery is placing its full trust in the industrial and operational capabilities of El Araby El Sawy Group.

Integrated Operations and Export Ambitions

The partnership relies on an operational system combining cutting-edge technologies with the strict quality standards that Chery Tiggo 8 Pro applies in its facilities worldwide. The investments include establishing and upgrading operational facilities in Egypt with significant annual capacities supporting gradual expansion plans. Ambitions extend to serving the local market and opening wide export horizons into regional markets.

The partnership represents a genuine lever for localizing the sector through El Araby El Sawy Automobiles factories under Chery's umbrella. Local component ratios are expected to increase gradually alongside building a strong national supply chain comprising parts and components suppliers. The partnership will generate a substantial number of direct and indirect job opportunities.

The agreement extends a previous relationship between both parties, yet it elevates it to an entirely new level of shared investment. A common vision aims to build a competitive investment base deeply serving the Egyptian market. Specialized programs for knowledge transfer, technology, and workforce qualification will accompany this phase.
